How a Sponsor Licence Works
The Skilled Worker Sponsor Licence is a requirement for businesses in the UK that wish to hire migrant workers from inside or outside the UK. Following Brexit and changes to UK immigration law, companies need this licence to sponsor non-UK/Irish employees, allowing them to legally live and work in the UK.
By obtaining a Sponsor Licence, employers can broaden their talent pool and potentially find candidates at more competitive rates, thus improving productivity through international hiring. - it is a genuine business and operates lawfully;
- it has no adverse immigration compliance history;
- it has personnel to meet its obligations as a Sponsor;
- there is an existing genuine vacancy for which the Licence is required.
The application must include:
- a breakdown of the organisational structure;
- a description of the business activities;
- a description of the first job and proposed employee;
- supporting evidence;
- a fixed office address;
- completion of an online form.
